This is an example of what having extra teeth can do to a patient's
periodontal health. Having the extra teeth does not allow for the normal cleaning ability of the teeth. Therefore this patient has developed severe periodontal disease in the area. Unfortunately all the teeth needed to be extracted. If caught early, the supranummary teeth can be extracted and the normal teeth saved.
